I have taught at all levels at University (BA, MA, PHD), professional and non-professional writers, all ages, all abilities, (including those classed with Learning Difficulties) and Internationally for three decades. 

I am an experienced and inclusive workshop leader in creative writing. 

I pride myself in ensuring a safe-space for all.

I was educated at two large comprehensives in which my dyslexia was not diagnosed this I feel makes me particularly aware and sensitive to any neurodivergence in the room. 

I believe passionately that anyone can write, if they are given the right tools, guidance, space, and support. 

I teach a number of workshops, either in a group session or one to ones.

I can help you simply to write - in an enjoyable session that involves writing games and methods to unblock your creativity. You will leave the space with a number of pieces, either completed prose/poetry/ scripts or the beginning of a longer piece.

I can help you formulate an original idea or an original manner in which to create theatre/script/drama.

I also run sessions in which I can lead you through the fundamentals of writing through a detailed workshop on STORY, THEME, CHARACTER, DIALOGUE, STYLE and TONE. 

I am also a good and understanding editor if you are need guidance and help with a new script. 

And finally if you are in the process of devising an idea - at the beginning stages -so you have your theme and some concept as to where you wish to take your performance. Perhaps you have already developed the piece through an R&D process, but you feel you have lost that spark or you are not certain as to how to develop the work further. I am particularly adapt at helping you find an innovative and fresh new way forward.
